Position: Vice President of Acquisition

The company focuses on acquiring assets where it can add value through renovations, improved management, new construction additions, or other sources to deliver above market returns to limited partner investors. The Candidate

The ideal candidate will come with extensive experience acquiring institutional and sub institutional multifamily assets in our target markets and the deep network of deal source relationships to hit the ground running immediately. The candidate will be responsible for deal sourcing, negotiations, transaction management, and business plan execution oversight. Expectations are to deploy $150 million of equity in the first year.

Scope of Work

• Directly reports to the Chief Investment Officer
• Acquire multifamily assets in California
• Deploy $150M of equity per year
• Deal Criteria
  • $30-$80M purchase price
• Responsible for the investment process of existing value-add multifamily. Responsibilities include everything from sourcing, analyzing, underwriting, negotiating, conducting due diligence, overseeing the business plan execution, and sales process
• Must actively maintain relationships with key deal sources
• Creative thinker that can see asset potential that is not straight forward
• Key understanding of market dynamics and fundamentals
• Conduct annual updates to portfolio strategy, capital allocation model and annual budget for approval

• Work with CIO and capital markets group to facilitate capital formation for each investment
• Participate in the development of strategic plans, policies and operating procedures, and annual plans and budgets
• Participate in capital raising efforts
• Support and nurture the company culture
